Many people asks me, how do you start home schooling your kids? What lesson should you give them? Where will I begin?
The answer is assess your kid. What does he enjoy doing? What are his interests? What makes him curios? What things make him curious?
When you answered these questions, or even if you were not able to answer them, bear in mind the trivium. Trivium is the model for classical education. Classical education is the model used many, many years ago. It is like a one-on-one teacher-student setting. Remember Anne Sulivan and her student Helen Keller, Jose Rizal and his mother, Thomas Alva Edison and his mother. So many great people were home schooled. And they succeeded and surpassed those who were in formal schools. Why? I believe the reason is that they were able to explore more and maximized the use of their minds.
